FIDM Scholarships

Kids Who Care Scholarship- 11 Alive

The 11Who Care Community Service Awards salute and highlight eleven outstanding local volunteers who have demonstrated selfless devotion for the betterment of the community.

DHS Community Scholarship

Eligibility and Requirements:
  • Eligibility of students will be based on financial need. 
  • Academic achievement, school, and community involvement/activities may be taken into consideration. 
  • Applicants must be eligible for admission to a technical school, 2 year college or 4 year university/college. 
  • Priority will be given to students attending schools or colleges/universities in Georgia.

Gwinnett Area II PTA Scholarship

Area II is proud to present eight $750 scholarships to deserving high school seniors
  • Eligibility:
    • Graduating senior
    • PTA member of Area II
    • Interested in attending an accredited 4 year or 2 year college/university 
    • Satisfactory scholastic record acknowledged by administrator, counselor, or teacher 
  • Essay Topic:
    • Discuss a special attribute or accomplishment that sets you apart from your peers\

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Scholarship

The Lawrenceville-Duluth Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. has developed a scholarship that recognizes African American male students of GCPS.
  • What: Twenty scholarships of $1,000 each to local African American male high school seniors
  • Requirements: 
    • Minimum of  2.5 GPA
    • Pursuing a post-secondary education
    • Show promise as a leader to society

Gwinnett County Retired Educators Association Scholarship

  • GCREA will award $1500 to two Gwinnett seniors who plan to major in education.

SCAD Distinguished Scholars Scholarship

  • Awards $20,000 per year to students with: minimum 1350 math + reading SAT, 30+ ACT composite, 3.75 GPA, outstanding capabilities in the arts, and demonstrated leadership skills.

Tanya Andrea Burdette Scholarship

The TAB Scholarship is available to Seniors who have been accepted as students at an accredited, post secondary intuition beginning in the fall of the year.

The Dream National Scholarship

Scholarships for First Time College Students
To be eligible, you must:
  • Graduate from high school or earn your GED diploma by 2015-2016 academic year
  • Earned a high school unweighted GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Intend to enroll full-time in an associate's or bachelor's degree program at one of The Dream.US Partner Colleges
  • Be eligible for in-state tuition
  • Have come to the U.S. before your 16th birthday
  • Be DACA or TPS eligible and have applied for or received DACA or TPS approval
