John, Lynne & Nicole Belli Memorial Scholarship Application 2015

Open only to Gwinnett County high school students. Minimum 2.5 GPA. Top 10% of class NOT eligible. See documents below for more information and to apply.

Scholarship Information:
  • The Belli Scholarship will be awarded during the summer after high school graduation
  • Provides $5000 annually for college expenses including tuition, books and fees up to $20,000.
  • Renewable for up to four years of documented college coursework (must maintain a 2.0 college GPA)
Criteria:
  • Students must apply in their senior year of high school
  • Students must receive a College Preparatory diploma at graduation
  • Top 10% of Senior Class NOT eligible
  • Students must have a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA at time of high school graduation to receive the scholarship
  • Student must have TWO recommendation letters (ONE from two different CORE subject teachers) substantiating student’s ability to be successful in college level coursework.
  • Submit a one-page essay on your financial need, career goal and education plan as well as any extraordinary circumstances you have overcome to graduate from high school.
  • Economically disadvantaged students will be given priority in awarding this scholarship.

Money Smart Teen 2015



  • Money Smart Week Greater Atlanta planning team and partner organizations are presenting the Money Smart Teen Contest.  
  • Candidates Must:
    • be a student in high school(grade 9-12) during the 2014-2015 year. 
    • Have knowledge of money management skills (decision-making related to spending and saving, investing, use of credit etc.)  appropiate for their age and grade level.
    • Demonstrate how they practice good money management skills in their dail lives.
    • Be able to "to think on their feet"-responding to questions from business leaders and media.
    • Be articulate-able to speak in front of large groups and cameras and respond well to questions
    • live in or attend school in the Greater Atlanta Area (Butts, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dekalb, Douglass, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding, or Rockdale County).
    • Must be able to attend the kick-off luncheon in in Atlanta on April 20 and if selected as winner, read their essay.
  • To apply: 
    • Student must be recommended by a teacher.
    • Students must have parent or gaurdian persmission to apply and participate
    • Student write essay (300 word of less) on the assigned topic( What does being "Money Smart" mean to you?) one submission per student
    • Essays must be typed on plain white paper, double spaced.  Money smart teen form must be attached to the essay pages
    • Essay be work of the student submitting the essay
    • Application formmust be signed by the teacher and a parent/gaurdian.
    • No teacher may sign more then three recommedations.  
    • Essau should be emailed as a PDF or scanned attachment.

Camp MAGIK and Camp Erin (not a scholarship)

Georgia State: Atlanta Hawks Foundation Scholarship Program



  • Community Service Essay*(required)
    • Upload a 300-500 word essay describing your service to the community in which you live and why you are interested in the field of education.
    • Personal Statement Instructions:  Personal essay that describes your background and characterizes your educational and career aspirations.  Also tell why you should be considered scholarship.  Essay should be no more than 500 words. 
    • Make sure to include student ID and your essay but DO NOT include your name.
  • One student will be selected to recieve a scholarship amount of $2,500 renewable for four years with at least a 2.8 Georgia State cumulative institutional GPA.

  • The Youth Preparedness Council offers students the opportunity to develop as leaders in their community as they learn about emergency preparedness.

  • $1,000 per year scholarship awarded to Georgia High School lacrosse player (boy or girl) who will play lacrosse in college.

Metro Atlanta Relocation Council 2015 Scholarship Application



  • For any senior who has relocated to the metro Atlanta area sometimes between the grades 9 ( after 8 grade promotion) and 12.
  • Offering one time award of $1,500 sent directly to the college student will be attending to assist with tuition.
    • Requirements 
      • Currently senior in good standing in an Atlanta area high school.
      • Has relocated more than 50 miles and changed schools due to their family's relocation between the grades 9 and 12
