SCAD The University for Creative Careers


A private, nonprofit, accredited institution, SCAD confers bachelor’s and master’s degree in distinctive locations and online to prepare talented students for professional careers. Requirements:
-minimum 1220 SAT combined math and reading score, or ACT score of at least 27
-GPA of 3.75
-outstanding visual arts, performing arts, and writing or riding capabilities
-honors and awards from competitions or other recognition
-leadership skills demonstrated though co-curricular or extra involvement

For 2013-14, there will be a SCAD Challenge scholarship competition. This challenge offers high school/secondary school students an international stage upon which to exhibit their work, the SCAD Challenge seeks the next generation of talented artists and designers. Seniors amd juniors, and students completing their last two years of secondary school, compete for SCAD scholarships and funding to attend SCAD pre-college programs.
For this year, the following categories will be offered: film, poster, comic book, photography, 2-D and fashion.
We will guide students through creating their best work and submitting it using professional presentation, we will also help our most talented students secure scholarship funding for their college educations.

University of Oregon

The Summit and Apex Scholarships recognize students who have reached the pinnacle of achievement in high school. The Summit will provide out of state students with $32,000 over four years, or the Apex will award them $16,000. Recipients of either scholarship will be able to combine the Summit or Apex award with most of UO scholarships, such as the General University or Diversity Excellence

The awards will be granted automatically based on GPA and test scores as follows:

Summit- 3.80 GPA or higher on a 4.00 scale.1200 combined critical reading and math SAT or 26 ACT

Apex- 3.65 GPA or higher on a 4.00 scale. 1150 combined critical reading and math SAT or 25 ACT.

The Robertson Scholars Leadership

The Robertson scholar’s leadership program awards approximately thirty six FULL scholarships a year- eighteen at Duke and eighteen at UNC-Chapel Hill. Robertson scholars have at their fingertips the resources of two of the most highly regarded universities in the nation, special courses, summer engagement opportunities in the United States and abroad, and support for research and travel.

Jefferson Scholars Foundation

The Jefferson scholarship is a merit-based, fully funded scholarship on the University of Virginia worth $100,000.00 for Virginians and $200,000.00 for non-Virginians.
The mission of the Jefferson scholar’s foundation is to identify, attract, and nurture individuals of extraordinary intellectual range and depth who possess the highest qualities of leadership, scholarship, and citizenship.
