RKl Education foundation Scholarships 2016

The RKL Education Foundation, Inc. is offering scholarships to deserving African-American male college-bound high school seniors, who live in Gwinnett County. All applicants will be considered regardless of religion or sexual orientation.
The foundation is based on three primary values:

For students interested in attending Furman University intrested in an education in the liberal arts and sciences
Requirments:
  • Only for current juniors
  • Genuine interest in liberal arts and sciences

  • SAT math and reading minimum: 1250 or 28 ACT composite

League of Champions- Univision Atlanta 2016

UNIVISION 34’S “Liga de Campeones” Scholarship is designed to motivate Latino youth in the Atlanta area to pursue higher education.

ELIGIBILITY: The scholarship is open to students who meet all of the following criteria:
  • Reside in the metro Atlanta area and surrounding counties that receive the Univision 34 signal 
  • Are enrolled as a 12th grade student with sufficient credits to graduate in the Spring term of 2016 3) Are bilingual (Spanish/English) 
  • Have a Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher based on a 4.0 scale 
  • Are of Hispanic descent (defined as persons descended from Central America (excluding Belize), Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South America

Belli Memorial Scholarship

Open only to Gwinnett County high school students. Minimum 2.5 GPA. Top 10% of class NOT eligible. See documents below for more information and to apply.

Scholarship Information:
  • The Belli Scholarship will be awarded during the summer after high school graduation
  • Provides $5000 annually for college expenses including tuition, books and fees up to $20,000.
  • Renewable for up to four years of documented college coursework (must maintain a 2.0 college GPA)
Criteria:

  • Students must apply in their senior year of high school
  • Students must receive a College Preparatory diploma at graduation
  • Top 10% of Senior Class NOT eligible
  • Students must have a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA at time of high school graduation to receive the scholarship
  • Student must have TWO recommendation letters (ONE from two different CORE subject teachers) substantiating student’s ability to be successful in college level coursework.
  • Submit a one-page essay on your financial need, career goal and education plan as well as any extraordinary circumstances you have overcome to graduate from high school.
  • Economically disadvantaged students will be given priority in awarding this scholarship.
