The Center for Character Ethics is accepting applications for the 2019 Student of Integrity Scholarships October 1, 2018 through December 14th, 2018. This annual awards program selects and honors high school seniors who display exceptional character traits. This scholarship includes students who will attend a Georgia technical college. Follow instructions (Steps 1-5) within the application.


Students must attend an accredited high school in one of the following counties:

Banks, Barrow, Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Cherokee, Clarke, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dawson, Dekalb, Douglas, Elbert, Fayette, Forsyth, Franklin, Fulton, Gwinnett, Habersham, Hall, Haralason, Hart, Heard, Henry, Jackson, Jasper, Lamar, Lumpkin, Madison, Meriwether, Morgan, Newton, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Paulding, Pickens, Pike, Polk, Rabun, Rockdale, Spalding, Stephens, Towns, Union, Walton, and White Counties.

Important Dates for 2018 Scholarship Awards:
October 1, 2018- December 14, 2018: Scholarship Application Period
February 6, 2019: Finalists Notified
March 6, 2019: Winners Notified
April 26, 2019: Luncheon

ACT College and Career Readiness Champions


Applications are open for the ACT Student Champion Award! The ACT Student Champion Award 
recognizes one student in each state who is tenacious and persistent, no matter the challenge, and is prepared for life after high school with a goal in mind and plan in place.


ACT Student Champions receive a $500 non-renewable scholarship, certificate, and state-level recognition.



Must fit the following criteria to apply:
-High school senior who has overcome challenges and can articulate their education and/or career actions
-At a minimum must have a composite ACT score of 22 on a single test date OR a Gold ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate



Applications can be found at www.act.org/readinesschampions. Applications are due October 31, 2018, and champions will be notified on or before January 31, 2019.

Scholarships Open to Undocumented Students

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc


Once again, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is pleased to announce its annual National High School Essay Contest for 2018. This contest is conducted on an annual basis in conjunction with our National Achievement Week Celebration.


The Beta Lambda Chapter will select scholarship award winners ONLY from the Gwinnett County pool* of applications received by the given deadline date. The winner will have his/her essay forwarded to the 7th District to compete at the National contest. The International High School Contest is open to all college-bound, high school seniors.


Contest Deadline is October 19, 2018. The manuscript must be postmarked, or time stamped on the email not later than midnight, October 19, 2018, and sent to the Beta Lambda Lambda chapter committee chairperson no later than October 18, 2018.


"How has social media impacted today's youth, and what influence does it have on their future?"

This essay must be original neither previously published nor secured by copyright. This essay must be between 700 and 750 words in length.

International High School AWARDS:
Four College Scholarships
1st Scholarship: $5,000
2nd Scholarship: $3,000
3rd Scholarship: $2,000
4th Scholarship: $1,000


Winners for the $1,000.00 Beta Lambda Lambda scholarships (application attached) will be announced on or before November 1, 2018. Winners of this $1,000 will be presented at the Beta Lambda Lambda Achievement Week Awards ceremony held in November (Place and date to be determined).  The International High School Contest winner will be submitted by midnight, October 19th, 2018 (application attached).
