The Perimeter College Goizueta Foundation Scholarship

The Perimeter College Goizueta Foundation Scholarship at Georgia State’s Perimeter College is made possible by The Goizueta Foundation, established by Roberto C. Goizueta, the late CEO and chairman of the board of directors of The Coca-Cola Company. The scholarship is designed to increase the number of students of Hispanic/Latino heritage who enroll and complete their undergraduate degrees at Georgia State and provide mentors, internships and community service experiences to these students so that they can become the leaders of the future.

Benefits
  • $3,600/per year per students, applied to student account
  • Eligibility to become a paid Supplemental Instruction leader (assisting college students in their classes)
  • Eligibility to apply for other paid positions on campus offered by the LASSO office at Dunwoody campus

Please note that you should apply for admission to Georgia State by the recommended admissions application dates above (and preferably much earlier) to allow sufficient time to be admitted to the university. You must be admitted to Georgia State University before you can apply for the Goizueta scholarship.

Street Angels Scholars

Street Angels Scholars, a non-profit 501(c)(3), was created by Street Angels Motorcycle Club, a group of women dedicated in its efforts to provide for the community an organization which promotes the safety of motorcycling, camaraderie and the patronage of the riding community. We strive to make great contributions to our riding community and to assist those in need. The scholarship effort was initiated in 2008 as another opportunity to give back to the community. We believe that pursuing an education at the post-secondary level is beneficial to the individual, the community and the economy. Because of this belief, we have decided to assist three individuals in their pursuit of higher education by providing educational funding. This year, we will award a total of three awards in the amounts of $1000, $750 and $500.

 Criteria:
• Applicant must be a freshman entering a four-year college or university in 2018- 2019 • Applicant or a relative by blood or marriage must be a licensed motorcycle rider in the state of Georgia • Applicant must be a resident of Georgia
• Applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale
• Applicant must provide an official transcript with the application packet
• Applicant must provide one letter of recommendation with the application packet; this letter must be from an educator or guidance counselor at the applicant’s school • Applicant must provide proof of community service with the application packet
• Applicant must submit a 500 word essay (see application) • Finalists must appear in Atlanta or via videoconference for an interview

Award: Six (6) Scholarships in the amount of $2,400.00 will be awarded annually to students enrolled in the study of Agriculture or an Agriculture related field.

Eligibility:  
  • The applicant must be a high school senior or not beyond the freshman year in college.
  • The applicant must have successfully passed their high school academic requirements and have college entrance exam scores qualifying their admission to an accredited Georgia College.
  • Applicant must be a Georgia resident and live in a rural county.
  • Applicant must be pursuing a degree directly related to agriculture.

  • Each applicant must be accompanied by three letters of recommendation: 1) County Extension agent or Vocational Teacher. 2) High School or College Teacher. 3) Community Leader (other than a family member).

  • Official form showing College Entrance Exam scores.
  • High school transcript.
  • Copy of SAR or copy of parents tax return (current year).

Your complete scholarship application will be automatically considered by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF). In addition, it will also be considered by several other organizations if you meet their scholarship requirements. So, a complete application may give you the opportunity to compete for several different scholarship awards. Please see the website for specific requirements for each organization's awards.
Applications for 2019 may be made online and must be completed by March 31, 2019.

Who Qualifies for this Scholarship?
·     Full time students at an accredited U.S. college or university or an ASE/NATEF Certified post-secondary automotive, heavy duty, or collision repair school
·     Graduating high school seniors planning to be full time students at any of the above
·     No GPA requirement

Do I have to finish the entire application at once?

What do I need to fill out this application?
1.    You will be asked for a one-page essay about your career goals and you can also post an optional short video on YouTube and include the link to it on your scholarship application
a.    If you mark the video as "Private" only our reviewers will have the link to view it
2.    You will be asked for at least one letter of reference
a.    Some of the organizations that work with UAF require a reference from one of their members or your automotive instructor 
b.    Each organization's page, located on the right, has the details about their eligibility requirements
3.    You must submit your high school transcript, and your post-secondary transcript if you are already in a post-secondary program

Words of Comfort Ministries, Inc Scholarship

Words of Comfort Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c) non-profit organization. Through its scholarship fund, WOC provides financial assistance to an outstanding male or female African American student residing in the United States who plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university of their choice within the US. In addition to excelling in the classroom, these individuals are leaders in the community who exemplify the values of volunteerism and service.

WOC recognizes the importance of education in the lives of children and the commitment to serve those less fortunate. We are delighted to provide this year's scholarships in their amount of $1,000 to five high school seniors who reflect these same high standards and has at least a 2.5 GPA. As we give to promote these individual's educational opportunities, we hope that he/she will fit to lead his/her life in a way that will eventually give something positive back to the community.

The Elizabeth Kiss Trailblazer Scholarship, named in honor of Agnes Scott’s eighth president Dr. Elizabeth Kiss (pronounced “quiche”), is our promise to the young women of today who exemplify the qualities inherent in tomorrow’s leaders.
For more than 125 years, Agnes Scott has been dedicated to providing a transformative educational experience to women at an affordable cost, which is why we have long been recognized as Best Value College. The Trailblazer Scholarship is a continuation of our commitment to this cause.
With Agnes Scott College’s Elizabeth Kiss Trailblazer Scholarship, admitted students to the college who meet certain qualifications are eligible for a $25,000 merit-based scholarship, renewable for up to four years of their undergraduate education.
To qualify, applicants need only apply to Agnes Scott College and have one of the following at the time of applying:
  • A 3.75 GPA (as reported by their high school)
  • A 1250 SAT score OR
  • A 26 ACT score
All application materials should be submitted before Jan. 15, the Early Action II deadline. Applicants who qualify for the Trailblazer Scholarship will be notified at the time of admission.
