Georgia PTA Scholarship Application


  • Must be a graduating senior of a Georgia High School with a PTA/PTSA
  • Student and parent guardian is a current member of  PTA/PTSA in good standing and parent/guardian must provide a copy of PTA/PTSA membership card with application
  • Will attend a college, university, post-secondary institution or trade school during the upcoming school year
  • Has exhibited good character
  • Has satisfactory scholastic record-(2.4 on 4.0 scale)
  • Has not received a full scholarship
  • Needed:
    • Completed and signed application by applicant and parent/guardian
    • Two typed letters of recommendation from an adult, not a relative!!
    • Essay one page only 12 pt. Times New Roman font, double space, type your name in the upper right hand corner of each page.
    • answer questions in 3 paragraphs only:
      • What is your proposed field of study
      • why have you chosen this career field
      • What are you goal in continuing your education
    • Copy of official high school transcript
  • Disbursement of Scholarship Funds Disclaimer (signed by parent or guardian)

2015 Extend The Dream Student Scholarship


  • The Southern Association for College Admission Counseling awards $1,000 to students based on financial need, academic achievement, and community service.
  • Criteria
    • Current high school senior 
    • Accepted to and planning to attend a college or university
    • 2.75 GPA minimum
    • Must have financial need
    • Show commitment to community service, social justice, and/or leadership qualities
    • Submit ACT/SAT scores
  • Must fill out an application 
    • Get an application from your counselor
  • Deadline is May 15

ShipDig Scholarship


  • Open to all students enrolled in accredited academic institutions, and high school seniors who are enrolling upon graduation. 
  • Students of all majors and intended majors are welcome to participate. Applicants must be residents of the United states.
  •  Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Awards will be sent directly to the financial aid office of the institution of the finalist’s enrollment.
  • Please submit a 500-1000 word essay about the most interesting item you have ever received in the mail. 
  • This can be a letter or postcard, a package or gift, an advertisement, or any other parcel delivered by mail. 
  • Explain why this article of mail was so fascinating to you and how it has impacted your life.
  • Deadline is Septemer 15, 2015 and finalist will be notified of their status on 30 of September.

2015 Aspiring Nurse Scholarship


  • Open to all high school seniors who plant to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN/LVN, ADN and BSN.  
  • Scholarship applications will be accepted until midnight on June 30.
  • Will Award a $1,000 scholarships to an aspiring nurse who demonstrates:
    • Track record of academic excellence, particularly in Science and Mathematics
    • A passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of healthcare.

2015 James Weldon Johnson High School Scholarship


  • Must be presently enrolled as a high school senior at a high school located in the state of Georgia 
  • Must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 gpa  at the time of the application deadline AND at the end of the 2014-2015 school year
  • Should be a responsible, supportive, self-disciplined, positive and energetic individual who is interested in the welfare of education and the community
  • Must attend the scholarship banquet to receive the award on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Holiday Inn Atlanta Perimeter Hotel
  • Deadline: Friday April 3, 2015 by 11:59 pm
  • Following forms must be turned in with it:
    • Completed 2015 James Weldon Johnson Scholarship Application
    • Current resume
    • Scholarship Essay (2-4 pages max)
    • OFFICIAL copy of High School transcript
    • 3 letter of recommendation:
      • One letter from a local member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
      • Two letters from a faculty/Staff member (teacher, school counselor, coach/organization sponsor) who can assess your skills.
  • Scholarship will be worth $1000 non-renewable.  Award will be paid to the school in one payment of $1000 at the beginning of the Fall 2015 semester.

Scholarships to Andrew College


  • Awards two $50,000 scholarships and ten $20,000 scholarships
  • Eligibility:
    • 3.0 GPA 
    • Minimum scores of 920 on the SAT or 19 composite on the SAT
  • It is a competition held at the Andrew College campus on March 20th and 21st
  • Must be notified if you plan to attend the event

Wofford Scholars Program


  • Awards range from $3,000 - $45,000 per year
  • Must be nominated by a counselor
  • Eligibility:
    • Current juniors only
    • top 10% of class
    • Minimum of 1250 SAT math and reading score or a 28 ACT composite
    • Must demonstrate leadership, scholarship, and potential for success
    • Must apply to Wofford for either Early Decision or Early Action
