Incoming freshman and transfer Hispanic/Latino students who demonstrate financial need and community leadership, accepted to or will be accepted to Georgia Southern University, legally residing in the United States of America, and have a legal social security number are eligible to apply.
Eligibility
- Must be Hispanic/Latino background student whose family/legal guardian resides in the United States (international students are not eligible).
 - Must be accepted for admissions at Georgia Southern University as freshman
 - Regular Admissions Requirements
 - High School Academic GPA 2.0 +
 - Minimum 1010 SAT (Math +Critical Reading only) or a 21 Composite ACT
 - SAT School Code: 5253
 - ACT School Code: 0830
 - Must complete a cholarship application available on website: admissions.georgiasouthern.edu/scholarships
 - Must submit a complete application for financial aid (FAFSA) by April 20th. School Code (001572)
 - Scholarship is open to all majors.
 - Students accepted through the Eagle Incentive Program are eligible.
 - Eagle Incentive Program Requirements
 - High School Academic GPA 2.0+
 - Minimum 920-1000 SAT (Math + Critical Reading) or 20 ACT
 - Completions of Required High School Curriculum
 - Selected students and their legal quardians will be invited to a personal interview.
 - Awardees will be notified by June 1st.
 
- Students must be full-time students (12 credit hours minimum) and maintain a 2.5 GPA (minimum).
 - Students must attend the First Year Seminar (FYS 1220) for ALAS students.
 - Participate in Latino Leadership events and programs.
 - After the first year attending GSU, the student will have the option to participate as peer mentor.
