- A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to the first place winner and $1000 scholarship for 2nd place winner.
Timeline:
- February 28, 2019 Deadline for submission is 5:00 P.M. EST
- March 20, 2019 Winners Notified
- March 29, 2019 Winners presentation and scholarship award
- March 30, 2019 Ambassadors booth at community kickoff
- April 7, 2019 Winner presentation at partner dinner
To Apply:
- Student must be recommended by a teacher.
- Students must have parent or gaurdian persmission to apply and participate
- Student write essay (between 350-500 words) on the assigned topic
- Essays must be typed on plain white paper, double spaced. Please do not include student's name on the essay.
- Essay be work of the student submitting the essay
- Application form must be signed by the teacher and a parent/guardian.
- No teacher may sign more then three recommedations.
- Essay should be emailed as a PDF or scanned attachment.
- The Money Smart Teen Application Form must be attached to the essay pages.
- Student may be interviewed by the MSEC committee and or sponsor.
