Scales of justice scholarship

ELIGIBILITY:  High school seniors and senior level home school students who are residents of Fulton, DaKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb, and Clayton counties.

COMPETITION GUIDELINES: participating students are asked to write an original and creative essay of 1,000 word or less regarding the following topic
               There has been considerable recent news about the nomination of judges to the federal court by the President and the process of approval by congress. Discuss the pros and cons of the process and the most important factors to consider in approving a judge such as the judge's background, work history, politics, individual beliefs, heritage, and rulings.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • entries from the 2018 contest will be accepted starting February 12, 2018
  • submission deadline is march 12, 2018
  • essays can be no more than 1,000 words
  • submissions must be the original work of the student
ESSAY SUBMISSION:
all essays should be submitted online via our website at www.frg-law.com/essay-contest/

AWARDS:
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the Top Finalist, with $500 scholarships given to the second and third place recipients. winners will be announced on March 30, 2018
