Princeton Prize in Race Relations

Princeton University offers an annual $1,000 prize to an Atlanta- area high school student who is committed to advancing race relations in his/her school or community. Certificates of accomplishment are given out during an award ceremony.

In addition to the $1,000 prize, the local award winner will receive an all- expense paid trip to Princeton University to attend the Princeton Prize Symposium on Race, which all winners for the 27 Princeton Prize in Race Relations region will attend.

2017 honorees from the Atlanta area were students from Riverwood International Charter School, Georgia Cyber Academy, Grayson High School, Chattahoochee High School and Johns Creek High School.

Any current 9th- 12th grade student in the metro- Atlanta area who in the past 12 months has been actively involved in a volunteer effort that has positively impacted race relations in his or her community or school is encouraged to apply for the Princeton prize,

Student must complete and submit (online or by mail) Part 1 of the application form, Part 2 of the application must be submitted by the student's sponsor. Sponsors may be any adult, not related to the student, who is familiar with the activity being put forth for the award.
