College Scholarship Application

For who: High School Seniors

Application Deadline: April 30, 2017

Scholarship Requirements and Procedures:

1. Be a graduating senior from an accredited Metro Atlanta High School and have been accepted into Alabama State University (proof of acceptance letter/matriculation).
2. Alumni members' children are allowed to apply.
3. Have a GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) unweighted on the OFFICIAL transcript submitted at the same time of the application. The OFFICIAL transcript must include the registrar's seal and signature.
4. Submit a copy of ACT or SAT scores. Score requirements: ACT - 18 (composite score), SAT - 950 (composite score).
5. Submit two letters of recommendation with original signatures (one letter from a school official and the other letter from a church member, community leader, or mentor).
6. Certification Form signed by applicant and parent/guardian, with original signatures.
7. One completed essay (500 words typed).
8. Submit a completed, typed application postmarked by April 30, 2017 to
