Mission Statement: Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Inc. continues the tradition of assisting African American Male students in the area of education and building strong values and leadership in the community. The fraternity will award scholarships of $1,000 each to local high school seniors in Gwinnett County Public Schools who are pursuing a post-secondary education.

- signature (signature indicates permission for LDAC to publish your name and possibly your photograph for publicity purposes should you be awarded this scholarship. Electronic signature is acceptable)
Application Requirements
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale
- Must submit a copy of high school transcript
- Must submit 2 letters of recommendation from a counselor, teacher, pastor, employer, or community leader (non-relative). The letter shouldn't exceed one page in length.
- Must submit a one page (2 pages maximum) double spaced essay that includes extracurricular activities and work activities and answers the following: 1) Please state where you plan to attend college and describe what degree you intend to study. Explain why you chose this program. 2) Describe your professional/career goals and explain how the program/degree you are studying will help you achieve these goals. 3) Explain how this scholarship would help supplement your tuition and/or books while in school.
