Eighth Annual Scales of Justice Scholarship

Eligibility:
The competition is open to high school seniors and senior level home school students who are residents of Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb, and Clayton counties. 

Competition Guidelines:
Participating students are asked to write an original and creative essay of 1,000 words or less in response to the following question: "If you were President, how would you balance the need for the security and safety of your citizens with the goal of living in a world where freedom and tolerance are important aspects of our lives?"

Requirements:
  • Entries for the 2016 contest will be accepted starting February 15, 2017. The submission deadline is March 15, 2017.
  • Essays cannot be more than 1000 words.
  • Submissions must be the original work of the student.
Essay Submission:
All essays should be submitted online via our website at www.frg-law.com/essay-contest/

Awards: 
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the top finalist, with $500 scholarships given to the second and third place recipients. Winners will be announced on April 3, 2017.
