Application for College Scholarship

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:

All African American senior young women and men who attend a high school in Gwinnett County, except Centerville, Snellville and Loganville are eligible to apply.

• Application Requirements:
• A completed, signed and dated application. The application must be typed or printed in blue or black ink.
• A type-written essay on the topic listed on the Essay Instruction sheet.
• Three (3) letters of recommendation from the following:
• 2 Core Academic  Teachers (e.g. Math, Science, Language Arts, Foreign Language and Social Studies)
• 1 Community Service Leader
• A copy of an official high school transcript
• Completed application, essay response, letters of recommendation and official transcript must be mailed together in the same envelope and postmarked by February 28, 2014.

• All completed applications will be reviewed and scored by the Scholarship Committee. The top scoring applicants will be granted an interview on March 29 or 30, 2014 to determine the scholarship recipients. All scholarship recipients will be notified no later than April 30, 2014.
