Furman 2014 Summer Scholars

Students selected as Furman Scholars are eligible for at least $7,500 per year, $30,000 over four years, in scholarships upon acceptance into Furman University. There is an increase in this award from $5,000 in year's past. Furman Scholars are eligible for a $200 discount on the week-long, residential Summer Scholars program, which provides talented rising juniors and seniors with a glimpse of the Furman experience. Furman Scholars nominees must be current juniors who meet the following requirements:

• A high school weighted grade point average of 3.5 or higher
• A genuine interest in an education in the liberal arts and sciences
• Significant involvement in extracurricular activities and community service.
• Demonstrated leadership potential
• One of the following test scores: PSAT score of 120 or higher (critical reading and math); SAT score of 1200 or higher (critical reading and math); ACT composite score of 26 or higher

Only online nominations will be accepted via the website at furman.edu/furmanscholars and paper nominations will not be accepted.

All nominations must be submitted online by March 15, 2014.
