Beta Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

High school seniors have the opportunity to apply for the Beta Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. 2013 scholarship awards. The rewards would be a minimum of $500 but could be higher. The 2012 awards were $1,000 per student.

Requirements:
  1. Currently a high school senior in one of Gwinnett County's public high schools.
  2. Acceptance and matriculation at an accredited four year college/university.
  3. High academic achievement.
  4. Involvement in extracurricular activities/community service.
To Complete Application Package:
  1. Please list your extracurricular, community service, employment or other activites in order of their importance to you. Indicate the dates you participated in the activity, position held and number of hours spent on each activity.
  2. List any significant awards or honors you have received during high school for academic or extracurricular achievements. Please also include your major and GPA.
  3. Please write a brief bio and include a digital picture with this application.
  4. Write a brief statement involving your intended college major and your career objective.
  5. Submit a current transcript including all completed coursework to date.
  6. Complete an essay of 300 - 750 words. The essay content should discuss ONE of the following topics...
  
  1. Which Omega Man has made the greatest impact on our lives? Explain why (Past or Present)
  2. What impact will social media have on our society in the next 25 years and what will be the benefits?
  3. If you were a scientist, how would you utilize men, methods or machines to reduce the dependency of petroleum globally?
  4. How I plan to make the biggest contribution to society.
