Beta Rho Chapter

Educator's Scholarship

The Beta Rho Chapter of Delta kappa Gamma Society International of Women Educators awards one scholarship in the amount of $1500 to one high school student who plans to pursue a degree in education. The scholarship applicants should be a high school student interested in entering the teaching profession.

The scholarships will be one time only for the value of $1500

Application process                                                     

1. applicants must provide a high school transcript, SAT scores, class rank, and grade point average
2. applicants must submit an essay on why they desire to go into teaching. The essay should be limited to 2 page double- spaced
3. one letter of recommendation must accompany the application when it is submitted. The letter should be from some one who knows the applicant well.
4. honors and awards, extracurricular activities, and community/ church service will be a consideration
5. if possible, a photograph should be attached. this is NOT required
6. completed application should be submitted to the following address and post marked no later than March 15, 2018

Selection procedures

1. applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee of the beta rho chapter of the delta kappa gamma society
2. student will be notified of the committee's decision as soon as a recipient is selected
