The Southern Association for College Admission Counseling is offering the Extend the Dream scholarship based on financial need, academic achievement and community service. Awards are in the amount of $1,000.
Criteria:
Criteria:
- student but be a current high school senior
- student must be accepted by and plan to attend an accredited, non-proprietary, technical, community or four-year college in the fall following his/her graduation
- student must have at least a 2.75 GPA for grades 9-12
- student must have financial need
- student must demonstrate commitment to community service, social justice issues and/or leadership qualities
- student must submit ACT and/or SAT scores
- an official high school transcript
- ACT/SAT scores
- Essay typed and double spaced (see link for details)
- one letter of recommendation
- a copy of page 1 of Student Aid Report
- Financial aid award letter from the college which the student plans to attend
