Caretenders Scholarship Program

The Caretenders Scholarship Program awards $500 to students who will:
  • Be attending an accredited university, college, trade, or technical school by the Fall of 2013
  • In the fall of 2013, be attending a school in Canada or the U.S.

Sedary & Associates Scholarship Program

Sedary & Associates is awarding a $500 scholarship to one eligible applicant.

Applicants must:
  • Be between the ages of 16-22 on the day that the application is due
  • Be enrolled in a college, university, trade, or technical school by no later than Fall 2013
  • Submit an essay
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher 
There is only one award available, so if interested, apply as soon as possible. The deadline is June 15, 2013.

Black and Lee Scholarship

The recipient of this award will receive $500. There are only two awards available.

Students who are interested and wish to apply should:
  • Be between the ages of 15 and 20 by May 15, 2013
  • Submit the essay prior to deadline
  • Be enrolled at a post-secondary institution by the Fall of 2013
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher

Healthy Choices Scholarship

The Healthy Choices Scholarship is a $500 award.

There is only 1 award available, so in order to be eligible applicants must:
  • Be attending an accredited college or university by Fall 2013
  • Be a resident of the U.S. or Canada
  • Be enrolled at any level in any program, as long as it is two years in length or longer

LM Scholarship Program

Leavitt Machinery is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student.

In order to recieve this award applicants should:
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Plan to enroll in a degree program that is at least 2 years of length or greater by September
  • Complete an application along with an essay

Scholarship by Design Award

The Scholarship by Design Award is a $500 award that will be given to innovative students. There is only one award available and it is open to all high school seniors or college undergraduate students.

The winner of this scholarship will be someone who can come up with a unique Scholarship Program idea.
The only criteria is that the concept must be completely original and it has to be interesting.

Duluth High School PTSA 2012-2013 Scholarship

The Duluth High School PTSA is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to one female and one male student.
This award will be given to students who have successfully met graduation requirements and will be attending an accredited two or four-year college or university.

In order to be eligible students must:
  • Be a 2013 Duluth High School graduating student
  • A current member of the PTSA (if not a member, students can purchase a membership at the front office for $5)
  • Have at least one parent who is a member of the PTSA (if not a member, parents can purchase a membership at the front office for $10)
  • Have a 3.0 GPA
  • Plan on attending a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university
  • Have a satisfactory scholastic record
  • Have NO disciplinary infractions on file this year
Completed applications should be turned in at the Main Office and should include:
  • Photo copy of  student's 2012-2013 PTSA membership card
  • Photo copy of parent's 2012-2013 PTSA membership card
  • High School Transcript and SAT/ACT scores
  • Letter of recommendation from a Duluth High School teacher who has taught during the 2012-2013 school year.
  • A 2 page, 12 pt. Times New Roman essay that discusses plans in college, why you should recieve the award, the most meaningful achievement/accomplishment and how it relates to your field of study, and state any special person or family circumstances affecting your need for financial assistance. DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME ANYWHERE ON THE ESSAY.
